  • What should I expect for my or my child's first appointment?

    The first session is a one-hour, initial psychological evaluation. This will consist of the client coming into the treatment room to discuss their concerns about their mental health. 



    For children under the age of 12, parents will be asked to join the first 30 minutes of the evaluation to discuss their concerns regarding their child's behavior. 



    If you or your child are discharging from a higher level of care or another facility, please have the facility fax your file to our office for continuity of care. You can have them fax your paperwork at 708.590.6573. You can also bring your paperwork to your first appointment, if you would prefer.

  • Where can I fill out the new patient paperwork?

    You can either login to the patient portal or create a new account on the patient portal by going to: https://web.gobreeze.com/login.



    If you would prefer not to complete the paperwork online, please come to your appointment early to complete the necessary forms. Please allow 15-20 minutes to complete these forms. 

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    Peaceful Healing accepts private insurance plans (see list of plans accepted on the "Finances" page. We also accept credit card, debit cards, and Health Savings Account cards.

  • What should I do while my child is in therapy each week?

    For your convenience, we have a waiting room with magazines and relaxing music while you wait. You are also more than welcome to run an errand or go to the local coffee shop to grab a quick bite. If you choose to leave the facility while your child is in therapy, please note that you will need to be back by :45 to the hour so we can provide you with any updates from the session. If you are late to picking up your child (you arrive at the top of the next hour or later), you may be charged a late pick-up fee of $25.

  • I am or my child is experiencing an emergency, should I call Peaceful Healing?

    If you or your child are experiencing an emergency, please dial 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. Peaceful Healing is NOT an emergency facility.

  • What does Peaceful Healing do with my information?

    The details you provide in the "New Client Paperwork", whether it be on a printed form or in the patient portal, is used to identify you, the patient, for billing purposes and for record-keeping purposes.  Peaceful Healing, in it's entirety, practices ethical recordkeeping in alignment with guidelines from the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
