Jennifer Chicoine, M.A., LCPC, CCTP

Therapist & CEO

Jen is the owner and CEO of Peaceful Healing Counseling Services. She has been in practice since 2019 and has extensive experience in trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, behavior issues, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, parenting issues, and more.


Jen enjoys gardening, writing, reading, and going for long walks with her loving husband and dog, Izzy.

I love this quote because it reminds us that no matter what happens, it is best to look to the positive aspect of any situation. If you can't find the positive, search for the meaning. The "shadows will fall behind you" if you keep your eye on the prize.

Paul is obtaining his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governor's State University. Paul's preferred therapeutic approach is psychodynamic theory.


Paul will be collaborating with our practice to expand his expertise in a range of evidence-based techniques, including:


  • Behavior Modification to address behavior challenges
  • Behavioral Activation to support individuals managing depression
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate anxiety
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist those dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder and trauma

Art Therapy Intern - accepting clients now

Elizabeth is obtaining her Master of Science in Counseling Art Therapy from Penn West University alongside her currently held Master of Arts degree in Drawing and Painting. Elizabeth's preferred therapeutic approach is holistic, integrative therapy.


Elizabeth will be collaborating with our practice to expand her expertise in a range of evidence-based techniques, including:

  • Behavior Modification to address behavior challenges
  • Behavioral Activation to support individuals managing depression
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate anxiety

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys kayaking, drawing, photography, reading, spending time with friends and family, and watching sports.

Lea Powers, B.A.

Lea is obtaining her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governor's State University. Lea's preferred treatment approach is Person-Centered therapy, Mindfulness-Based DBT, Existential Theory, and Solution-Focused Theory.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate anxiety

In her free time, Lea enjoys yoga, reading books, watching movies,  and going to concerts.

Izzy is a 3-year old, purebred Basenji. She enjoys snuggling with her mom and dad under cozy blankets, going for long walks, playing fetch, eating snacks, and watching the Hallmark channel.
